Guy Buffet

Guy Buffet was born in Paris on January 13, 1943 and now lives in San Francisco, California. After his father died, he worked in restaurants to help him and his widowed mother while he attended art school. The restaurant scene and everyday life has continued to inspire the subjects of Buffet’s paintings. Buffet was termed the “wandering artist” because his quest for artistic inspiration led him all over the world. He even joined the French Navy to more easily allow him to adventure and paint from the cultures he visited.
